She was in town to showcase her latest fashions, but that didn’t stop US reality TV star turned designer Whitney Port from lending her star wattage to a charitable cause in Sydney on August 28th.

Feminine and flirty in a Sportsgirl ensemble, LA-based Port, 27, made for a chic guest of honour at a high-tea fundraiser for the Pink Hope breast and ovarian cancer charity, held at the Cherry Bar inside The Star casino.

“I am so pleased I was at The Star for Pink Hope’s launch event,” said The City star, who mingled with newlywed actress Krew Boylan, singer Wes Carr, TV’s Karl Stefanovic and Pink Hope founder and breast cancer survivor Krystal Barter, in celebration of Pink Hope’s partnership with Revlon for ‘Bright Pink Lipstick Day.’

The initiative, which will take place on September 28, is designed to inspire women to be proactive and vigilant with their breast and ovarian health. “Krystal and the girls from Pink Hope are an inspiration to all. As females we need to stick together and promote breast and ovarian health,” added Port, who was suitably accessorized with a bright pink pout.

While the fashion darling was officially in Oz to showcase the latest ranges from her Whitney Eve label and W.E. by Whitney Eve diffusion line at Sydney’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival, said Port, who today tweeted her sadness about departing for the States, “I’ll absolutely be slicking on some fuchsia lipstick on Pink Lipstick Day. I love when Fashion and charity collide.”
