The singer was staying at the Beverly Hilton Hotel ahead of Clive Davis's pre-Grammy party. Paramedics were called to the singer's hotel room and she was pronounced dead twenty minutes later after attempts to revive her were unsuccessful.
Whitney Houston lived a life marked by extreme heights of music and film success but her talent was later dimmed and clouded by her ongoing personal struggles.
