She may not have her prince with her on Valentine's Day but the Duchess of Cambridge will be spreading the love to one of her favorite causes.

She is set to visit Liverpool on the romantic holiday – while husband William, 29, is 7,500 miles away serving on a helicopter search-and-rescue crew in the Falkland Islands for six weeks – to see the work of Action on Addiction.

As the charity's new patron, Kate, 30, will tour an alcohol-free bar that is linked to the charity and its bid to help people recovering from addiction.

Kate will also visit top children's hospital Alder Hey, where she will see the work of the Ronald McDonald House.

The day out in Liverpool is one of two engagements her office has just announced. The other one will be on Feb. 8, when she will have sneak preview of Lucian Freud's work at the National Portrait Gallery, which Kate became a royal patron of in January.

One thing matching her interest in art is royal watchers' interest in her wardrobe, so we'll be anxiously awaiting shots of her fashion choices for the engagements!
