“I’ve made some major changes to my lifestyle in the past six years. I grew up on a small hobby farm, and I want our children to enjoy the same freedoms. Two years ago, we moved to a semirural property in Sydney’s north. We have fruit trees, a vegie patch and lots of animals, including ducks, chickens and our latest additions—a peahen and chicks. When you add three children, that’s quite a menagerie! I’m enjoying improving my knowledge of the environment. I’ve just enrolled in a horticulture course, and I’m also joining a permaculture group. With all that imminent knowledge, I’m expecting big things from my vegie patch this year!”
