6. Approach herbal weight-loss products with caution.
According to the National Prescribing Service, most herbal medicines undergo less testing than prescription medicines do, which means we know less about their safety and effectiveness. If you’re thinking of taking weight-loss supplements, seek advice from a qualified health professional who will be able to help you determine whether or not it’s suitable for you. Remember to ask whether it interacts with other medicines, and if so, what the potential side effects are.
