The birth of both my children was by emergency caesarean. I had planned to have a natural drug free natural birth for both, but they had other ideas.

My daughter was born in London and was 11 days overdue. I was then in labour for 3 days before the hospital decided on the operation (only when they detected meconium in my waters).

My son was 5 weeks premature due to a Placenta abruptio and so, once again, I was advised to have a caesarean.

Was your birth experience a good or bad one?

I had a bad one, then a good one.

Both were induced. First one was a very long labour and then a LONG time pushing. Almost had a caesar but managed it just in time.

Second was also induced, but quicker and better supported. Only had to push for twelve minutes which was awesome!

I had a c-section due to pre eclampsia. Wasn't the birth I planned but then I don't know many births that go according to plan. My c-section was very straight forward and although it did take 6 weeks to be totally pain free I found the whole process and recovery to be relatively simple and stress free. Especially compared to many of the natural birth horror stories I have heard from friends.
