'Reasons my son is crying' Tumblr dad is an internet sensation

When Greg Pembroke started a very funny and very relatable Tumblr called Reasons my son is crying he had no idea it would cause such a stir. Pembroke photographed his adorable 20 month old son Charlie every time he cried or a threw a tantrum and then described the reasons behind the tears, including "I wouldn’t let him eat the candy he found on the diner floor" and "He threw his dinner plate on the ground. He now wants to eat dinner."

The Tumblr soon had people talking on Reddit's parenting page over the weekend and by Sunday night it had hit the front page with more than 3,000 comments. Pembroke has since done interviews with Good Morning America and TODAY.com.

“Kids have meltdowns 20, 30 times a day,” Pembroke told TODAY.com. “You can drive yourself crazy or you can laugh and just accept it. I think every parent experiences meltdowns and I was trying to have a little fun with it”.

But not everyone sees the funny side. Pembroke has come under fire from other parenting bloggers who say they would never post pictures of their child crying for everyone to see. However, Pembroke says even though the photos show an unhappy boy, in reality the family has a lot of fun together and he loves being dad to Charlie and his three year old brother William.

Tell us what you think. Is the Tumblr just a bit of fun and something most parents would relate to, or is it a cause for concern?
