    We have taken on a galah which has a broken wing which will not be able to be repaired so it cannot be released.

    We have a great yard for the bird to have some free time out of the cage.

    I would like to tame her up enough to be able to get her onto my hand so I am able to control her to some extent.

    How can I do this - I am not sure how old she is but she is quite wrinkly around the eyes.

    Hi Peta,

    While I cannot answrer your question about taming galahs, I can reccomend joining a forum (mytoos.com) where you will find people who are very experienced in bird care, and who can advise you about taming/care etc. Its well worth joing up there and posting your question there, Im sure they will be able to give you some excellent pointers
