Posted Mon 27 Feb 2012 02:35We have had for 5 years the sweetest, most gentlemanly handsome cat. He's shy, choosey of who may give him love, and we feel blessed. He had a buddy, the dearest ginger mad thing, for 3 years, but frankie's run away from home. Charlie looked for him every day, and we miss him so, as he was our other cat. So we got Miss Molly. A sweeter girl you've never met. To my human eyes she has manners – submissive all the way, but pleasepleaseplease play with me. She adores him. He endures. It's not so bad, but for the sleeping arrangements. I can't bear locking her away, but there are 2 important factors. Her adoration means Mr independent lives next door all day – no chance of loving him. I miss him, and when we lock her out he turns back into my boycat that wants love from us. If we don't, the hissing and growling starts at 2 or 3 in the morning. Fun for all. vet says keep them apart at night. Multicat households tell us to deal with the growling till he understands she's he to stay. 2 months now – am I expecting too much?
