As the old saying goes, a woman's work is never done - and that's certainly true for Nadya 'Octomum' Suleman!
The mother of 14 children, including her record-breaking octuplets, has revealed for the first time the staggering cost of caring for her enormous brood.
Nadya, 34, says each week the family eats $1070 in food and drinks 119 litres of milk. She and her five nannies, who cost her $11,000 a month, change 700 nappies and do nearly 60 loads of laundry in the same seven days!
'This whole house is like a giant playroom,' Nadya says of their home situated in a quiet suburb in California. 'I try to keep it neat and tidy, but it's hard sometimes. Once they all start crying, and if the older ones are running around, it can be bedlam.'
The costs have forced her to agree to a new TV deal, worth more than $250,000 in the first year, that will make the Sulemans the stars of a series of specials.
'I'm damned if I do and damned if I don't,' Nadya says of the criticism she's received. 'If I don't do what I need to do... to take care of and support the kids, I can't take care of them.'
And while she may only get about three hours sleep a night, Nadya, who's yet to find Mr Right, hasn't ruled out having more kids in the future.
Nadya says: 'If I wanted to do it the traditional way and get married, that's like another chapter.'
