Actress and TV personality Rosie O'Donnell, 50, has revealed that she married her longtime girlfriend Michelle Rounds back in June.
The couple announced their engagement in December of 2011, and had originally planned an August wedding.

When Rounds was diagnosed with rare desmoid tumors, however, the pair decided to marry on June 9, just before her surgery on June 14.

O'Donnell explained on her blog: "We married in private before [Michelle's] surgery, just the [two] of us.
"When we r both well enough will have the wedding of r dreams surrounded by those we cherish."

She added: "Thankful for the love and support so many have given us during these trying times."

O'Donnell's representative Cindi Berger told People magazine of their quiet wedding on June 9:
"They got married but they haven't had the wedding celebration.

Berger added: "It is such a rare tumor. It took them quite a while to get an accurate diagnosis.
"She had several gastrointestinal surgeries to remove the desmoid turmors. She is now on the road to recovery."
