The Oscar-winning actress, 31, married French choreographer and dancer Benjamin Milliepied, 35, on Saturday night, a source confirmed to People Magazine.
After a two-year engagement, the source says Portman and Milliepied wed at a private home near Big Sur on California's central cost.
An insider added to Us Weekly that they celebrated with a Jewish ceremony and said their vows beneath a traditional chuppah.
The newlyweds first met on the set of Black Swan in fall of 2009, where Milliepied worked as the film's choreographer.

In December 2010, they announced their engagement and were expecting a child. Their son, Aleph, is now 14-months old.
Portman thanked Millipied in an emotional acceptance for her Best Actress Oscar for her performance in Black Swan, adding that her 'beautiful love' had give her 'the most important role of my life [motherhood]'.
Portman has said her family life is her top priority, telling France's Madame Figaro magazine:
"Nothing is more important than my personal life. It's something which comes first, always makes sense, and compared to the happiness of a successful family life, everything else is practically superficial."

She also told the magazine she may want to take on French citizenship. She explained:
"It would accomplish the Francophile dreams of my father and myself. I lived in Paris when I was 12 and my father gave me the name Natalie as an homage to Gilbert Bécaud's song.
"Everything in my life has drawn me towards a French family."
