Mick Jagger had an unhealthy obsession with Angelina Jolie in the late 90s, claims a new book.
Author Christopher Andersen's biography, MICK: The Wild Life and Mad Genius of Jagger, alleges that the rocker fell hard for Ange after she played a stripper in a Rolling Stones music video in 1997.
Excerpts of the book published in The New York Daily News reveal that Jagger was infatuated with the young Jolie, reportedly saying: "She scares me a little. I like that."

Although the actress was married to Jonny Lee Miller at the time, while also allegedly dating Nicolas Cage, Russell Crowe and Billy Bob Thronton, Andersen says Jagger aggressively pursued her with phone calls.
Lauren Taines, a friend of Jolie's late mother Marcheline Bertrand, said Jagger's pursuit of Jolie lasted for several years, leaving him 'virtually sobbing' over her while she was 'messing with Mick's head'.

According to Andersen, in 1999 when Jagger was ending his marriage with Jerry Hall, he bought Jolie a pair of $5,000 earrings. Years later, Jolie, now a mother of six, is engaged to longtime partner Brad Pitt.
