The 27-year-old singer debuted her new song on Sunday night in her first performance in the U.S. since her split from Brand. Perry sang lyrics which included the lines: "You chewed me up and spit me out/Like I was poison in your mouth/You took my light, you drained me down/That was then and this is now."
Perry, who finalized her divorce from the 36-year-old British comedian last week, also changed some of the song's lyrics to make a more obvious stab at her ex, according to Us Magazine.

Although the original lyrics read: "You can keep the dog from me, I never liked him anyway," Perry altered the words at her performance, singing instead: "Keep your diamond ring/In fact, you can keep everything...Except for me."
The star was married to Russell Brand for 14 months before he filed for divorce in December.
Although the couple did not sign a prenuptial agreement, Brand was reported to be leaving with only his earnings instead of 50% of her fortune, to which he is legally entitled.
