New Idea accompanied TV chef Manu Fidel to Africa for an amazing mercy mission.
The kids of drought-stricken Niger were won over by the star’s warmth, charm and giving spirit.
Surrounded by 275 excited children in a remote desert village, Manu lead the giggling kids in a rowdy chant: "Yummy, yummy, in my tummy!" while preparing them a meal of rice and beans on an open fire.
"Feeding these hungry kids, I don’t think I’ve ever been so honoured to cook for anyone," the 39-year-old said.
"What my son wants when he gets home from school is to play Wii. Here the kids just think about getting food in their mouths."
Take a look at the exclusive, heartwarming pictures and Manu's full interview with Editor in Chief Kim Wilson only in this week's issue of New Idea.

again, the "sorry" story. bored affluent westerners to the "rescue" of "suffering" africans. too boring manu, we have seen enough with angelina jolie. feeling sorry for africans won't help them, but repatraiting the stolen wealth stashed in western banks bank to them definitely will.
