Russell Crowe has addressed Adam Lambert's criticism of Les Miserables on Twitter
The Oscar-winning actor, 48, took to Twitter to respond to comments made by former American Idol contestant Adam Lambert, 30.
Lambert tweeted his review of Les Miserables on December 30th, writing:
"Les Mis: Visually impressive with great emotional performances. But the score suffered massively with great actors pretending to be singers.

"It's an opera. Hollywood's movie musicals treat the singing as the last priority. (Dreamgirls was good.)"
He added: "And I do think it was cool they were singing live - but with that cast, they should have studio recorded and sweetened the vocals."
Crowe, who plays Javert in the film adaptation of the musical, responded to Lambert's remarks.
He tweeted back on January 1:
"I don't disagree with Adam. Sure, it could have been sweetened."
Crowe added of the film's director Tom Hooper:
"Hooper wanted it raw and real, that's how it was."

Just saw the film, acting were exceptional, if the singing was less so, but I just don't get it. I think it's the story itself and the songs. I just don't understand what all the fuss is about, it's not a great story and the songs are lacking something.
