Joan Rivers has gotten into a Twitter battle with Rihanna over her emotional interview with Oprah about Chris Brown.
The E! Fashion Police host, 79, took to Twitter to weigh in on Rihanna's emotional interview about her abusive ex.
The You Da One singer, 24, revealed to Oprah Winfrey on television that she still has feelings for Chris Brown, who violently assaulted her in 2009.
Rivers, who is known for her controversial comments, tweeted:
"Rihanna confessed to Oprah Winfrey that she still loves Chris Brown. Idiot! Now it's my turn to slap her."
Rihanna quickly fired back in a tweet she has since deleted:
"Wow, you really do get slow when you're old, huh?" She added: "Slap on some diapers."
However, Rivers would not be silenced. She warned the singer:
"Honey, Rihanna, everyone knows: If he hit you once, he'll hit you again. Read the statistics. PS - Love to have you on Fashion Police!"
Rihanna told Winfrey in her interview of Brown, who pleaded guilty to the assault and was sentenced to five years probation, community service and domestic violence counselling:"We love each other and we probably always will and that's not anything we're gonna try to change."
