Robert Pattinson and Andrew Garfield are Hollywood rivals, say sources.
Insiders revealed to Us Weekly that there is tension between the Twilight hunk, 26, and The Amazing Spider-Man star, 28.
One source told the magazine:
"The truth is, Andrew can't stand Rob. Andrew hates that they're put in the same category because they're both English and around the same age."
And it seems Garfield isn't fond of Pattinson either.
When both actors turned up at producers Kevin Turen's wedding in June, a witness said Garfield spent the night ignoring the Cosmopolis actor.
A source said of the two British stars: 'don't enjoy hanging out' adding:
"Andrew considers himself a 'serious actor' and sees Rob as the equivalent of a cheesy boy bander because of Twilight."
Another source weighed in on the reason behind their rivalry, explaining: "Both like intense parts and go after the same roles. They're just naturally competitive."
It seems there's much to be competitive about. Garfield's Amazing Spider-Man grossed $341.2 million worldwide in its first week.Meanwhile, Pattinson was revealed to be one of Hollywood's highest paid actors, according to Forbes Magazine.
