It was supposed to be an innocent trip to Paris for the weekend, but it quickly turned for Pippa Middleton as she became involved in a paparazzi standoff that could leave her in jail.
The 27-year-old socialite was in the front passenger seat of an Audi convertible when the driver of the car pointed a semi-automatic handgun at nearby photographers.
A witness charged a formal complaint with Parisian police. A judicial source told Us Weekly: “If the evidence points to [Pippa Middleton’s] involvement, she will be prosecuted.”

Pippa's innocent weekend turned debaucherous when she attended the 18th-Century-themed birthday bash of French aristocrat and designer Vicomte Arthur de Soultrait.
At the party guests were greeted by three dwarves at a Parisian hot spot and surprised by a brunette burlesque stripper who burst out of the young aristocrat's birthday cake.
Duncan Larcombe, the Sun's royal editor, said of the event: "Pippa is a party girl. She mixes now in very high society and they don't come very higher than this group of French aristocratic sons."
At the party, Pippa wore a corset and can be seen sitting among scantily-clad socialites next to Vicomte - who wore a dog collar and chain - in a string of recently released photos.
