She tells New Idea about her time on the show, then and now...

Why did you want to get involved with YTT again?

It seemed very, very natural. I think the timing is perfect and I believe in things coming full circle. I tried to find the negatives and I couldn’t.

Do you remember your time on YTT?

There is a lot I don’t remember, but I do remember it was a great period of my life. It was my apprenticeship. It was an extraordinary education and I don’t take it for granted. There are obviously difficult things you need to deal with along the way. One day you are just a normal girl going to school, the next week everybody is watching you on national television.

You live in France with your husband Vincent Mancini and son Gabriel. Do you relish the chance to come home?

It’s fantastic. It’s so enriching for us. Gabriel is half frog, half kangaroo!

Do people still come up to you and recognise you from YTT?

Of course. Will they ever forget? Probably not!

YTT airs Sundays at 6.30pm, on Channel Ten.
