The popularity of false eyelashes has dramatically increased thanks to better technology and the knowledge that most stars are not born with the long, lush lashes they sport on the red carpet.
Yes, we can have them too!
‘The lashes we have these days have evolved. No longer do they make you look like a drag queen – they’re so undetectable!’ M.A.C senior make-up artist Nicole Thompson says.

‘They do take a little bit of practice. Always give yourself more time than you think it will take to apply them.’
Here are some more top tips for luscious false lashes.
DO: ‘Test the length before you actually glue them down. That way you can give them a little haircut if they are a little long for your eyes,’ Nicole advises.
‘Also, sometimes our lashes aren’t as naturally curled as the fake ones we put over the top. Once the lash is on and the glue is dry, give your lashes a gentle curl with an eyelash curler to join them together.’

DON’T: ‘Keeping it simple is best – don’t overdo it,’ Nicole says. ‘Pump up your smoky eyes with a lash but keep the rest of your make-up fresh and natural.’
DID YOU KNOW? As we age, lashes shorten due to hormonal changes, so pumping them up is one way to look younger.
