David Beckham won’t be fulfilling his Olympic dream this summer.
Shockingly, the 37-year-old soccer star has been left out of the Team GB squad for the upcoming games in London.

Becks - who played 115 times for England - said in a statement: "Everyone knows how much playing for my country has always meant to me. So I would have been honoured to have been part of this unique Team GB squad.
“Naturally, I am very disappointed, but there will be no bigger supporter of the team than me,” Beckham said of his snub.
“I would been honored to have been part of this unique Team GB squad. Like everyone, I will be hoping they can win the gold.”

Becks, who played a large part in bringing the Games to London as an ambassador, missed out on one of the three roster spots allowed for players aged over 23.
He also flew to Greece in May to collect the Olympic Torch on behalf of Great Britain and bring it over to London.
Although he won’t be participating on the field, Beckham still expects be given a major role off the field at this summer’s Games.
