10.7km, 10 obstacles: this course has been designed to test your strength and stamina. Obstacles will be revealed one by one leading up to the event. Keep checking back to discover what lies ahead.

Move through a field of flat-laid tyres "stutter-step" style, touching the ground inside of each consecutive tyre. This obstacle tests your agility, balance and footwork speed.
Tackle the lung-busting sandstone stairways from Hickson Road all the way up to Observatory Hill. This obstacle will empty your lungs, put the burn in your thighs and leave you gasping for breath before confronting the next obstacle.
Grab a 10kg sandbag, hoist it over your shoulder, and run the full 200-metre circuit around the Sydney Observatory. A stern test of stamina and strength.
Swing like the king of the jungle in tackling these specially-forged monkey bars stretching almost 10 metres end-to-end. You’ll need a vice-like grip, strong shoulders and powerful forearms.
Cling to the net and hoist yourself up & over. Timing, strength and confidence are important here: attack this obstacle too timidly and you’ll find yourself all at sea.
The normally-scenic crossing of Pyrmont Bridge will be blocked by a formidable sequence of crowd barriers and solid plastic barricades, and the only way through is to clamber over one and duck under the other. Again and again and again…for 100 metres.
You’ve seen the commando crawl enough times to know the drill. The challenge will be to avoid getting all tangled up as you pull with your forearms and push with your feet, making your way across the ground.
This one will come down to mental strength as much as lung power. You’ve slogged it out, now put the pedal to the metal and sprint 100 metres to the next obstacle. Prizes up for grabs for the fastest finishers!
If you’re going to attempt to hurdle the water-filled barriers, you’re going to need some technique, some speed and enough power in your legs to soar over them without coming to grief.
It’s showtime! Near-vertical wall requiring a bold frontal attack and strong arms to drag yourself onto the top. This daunting obstacle is all about gritting your teeth and extracting one last effort out of your tiring legs and upper body. Of such challenges are urban athletes made!
