“The key to reaching your goals is discipline,” says Mal Baker, a veteran light-heavyweight and Masters Boxing World Champion. “We all have days where we aren’t feeling it, but the difference of what you’re physically capable of on those days is barely measurable; it’s nil.” The bottom line: stay focused and don’t let mental frailty affect your productivity in training. “I tell the athletes I coach there’s no reason why you can’t be as good as your previous session,” says Baker. “Just have a go.”
