Sneakers don’t have to look sloppy if you keep them slimline and simple. “If the sneakers are white or have some white bits on them, they’re great with jeans and a white T-shirt,” suggests Bateman. “They’re also good with a clean short (not cargo), no socks, and a tucked in button-down shirt.” But, as every self-respecting rapper knows, it’s vital to keep your kicks looking box-fresh. “Wipe your leather sneakers clean with a damp cloth when you can,” advises Bateman. “Suede ones need spraying with a stain protector, particularly if they’re a light shade.”
