It's alright to be nervous. When the big day approaches, and your life flashes before your eyes, you're bound to ask yourself the question, "Am I doing the right thing? ".

To make things a little easier and clearer, we asked UK marriage expert, Elizabeth Martyn, to identify the three questions you should ask before getting hitched.

1. Do you communicate?
Out of the thousands of divorces each year, most are a result of poor communication, believes Martyn. "Set aside at least two hours a week to talk, " she says.

2. Do you want to change her?
"Men make this mistake as often as women, " she reveals. "They think the irritating personality traits of their other half might change over time. Generally, they don't. "

3. Do you both want babies?
A lot of people neglect to discuss having rugrats before they're married. "Clarify this, otherwise someone may well be disappointed, " adds Martyn.
