Kings & Queens
Jamie.T (Virgin)
The second LP from this Mercury Prize-nominated London songwriter is simply brilliant. Set somewhere between Blur's Parklife and the first album by The Streets, it's a snapshot of the big city taken by a confused kid with a head full of poetry. There's a hip-hop influence to tracks such as "368" and a punk energy to others ("Hocus Pocus"), but sometimes it's just a plaintive voice and acoustic guitar ("Emily's Heart"). Spellbinding.
Buy this if you like The Streets or Bon Iver.

Draw The Line
David Gray (Polydor/UMA)
Four years since his last album, Gray is back with a new band and a new lease of life. Draw The Line has a big, glossy sound, but his voice - world-weary and full of soul - is none the worse for it. Some of the best moments are the simple, piano-led songs, but "Full Steam Ahead", the epic closing duet with Annie Lennox, is also a highlight.
If you download only one track, make it "Full Steam Ahead".

One Love
David Guetta (EMI)
Guetta is a French house DJ and the pop world's go-to producer. His collaboration with Kelly Rowland on disco anthem "When Love Takes Over" was a club hit earlier this year, and he repeated the trick with Akon on "Sexy Bitch". Both are included on One Love, which also features hook-ups with Ne-Yo, Estelle and The Black Eyed Peas.
If you download only one track, make it "I Wanna Go Crazy".
