Australia's Next Top Model Dumps Production Company

Following Sarah Murdoch's now infamous blunder on national television, Australia's Next Top Model has reportedly opted to part ways with its production company.

Murdoch said in a statement earlier today that she had considered the move carefully but could see no other solution.

"They are a very talented and hard-working crew," said Murdoch. "But after what happened this year I thought very hard about it and decided it was probably time for a change."

Although speculation was rife that Murdoch's omission of the wrong winner on the finale of Australia's Next Top Model was a publicity stunt, it was later revealed that a producer from Granada Media was actually responsible for the mix-up.

"It has been confirmed that it was human error, and not a technical glitch, which caused the incident," Granada said on October 1.

Murdoch told A Current Affair she was in a state of disbelief when a card was delivered to her on stage with the correct result.

"You wouldn't wish that on anyone," she said.
