Less than a month after marie claire reported on controversy surrounding the Italian prime minister in 'Yes, Yes, Yes Prime Minister' (August 2009), audio recordings, allegedly of Silvio Berlusconi with a call girl, have been posted on the internet.

According to the Daily Mail (UK), high-class escort Patrizia D'Addario, 42, made secret recordings of herself and the controversial Italian over two nights at the prime minister's official residence in Rome.

Berlusconi denies paying D'Addario for sex, saying he does not understand how "people could pay for sex without the thrill of the conquest."

Berlusconi, 72, has faced increased public and media scrutiny since reports began to emerge last April that he attended the 18th birthday party of aspiring model, Noemi Letizia.
