From the harbourside dining room an intimate group of editors and fashionable types were treated to a view of the designer's fabulous new-season frocks, along with an exquisite lunch of roast chicken, brown butter, currents and hazelnut with seven texture valrhona chocolate cake for dessert - provided courtesy of chef Peter Gilmore.
Inspired by the decadence of ocean-liner travel during the 1940s, models carried maps, retro binoculars and vintage film cameras while showcasing nine new looks.
Key styles included the Betty Frock - an off-the-shoulder cotton day dress with navy bow and belt details accessorised with an enormous straw hat - and the Rebecca Frock - a fire-engine red tea dress worn with scarlet lips, red nails and a wooden handle Leona Edmiston umbrella.
Big Edie would be proud!
