There are big changes afoot at the house of Gucci: Frida Giannini, the brand’s creative director is leaving the company. The Autumn/Winter 2015 collection, being shown in Milan on February 25, 2015, will be her last for the Italian fashion powerhouse.

Giannini – who has been with Gucci since 2002 and has held the title of creative director for more than eight years – isn’t the only big name quitting the brand. Gucci’s CEO, Patrizio de Marco, has also resigned and he will be replaced by former Bottega Veneta CEO Marco Bizzari in the new year.

So who might replace Giannini at the helm? There is speculation that Givenchy's Riccardo Tisci might be tapped for the job, though American designer Joseph Altuzarra is also reported to be a strong contender, especially after the success of his contemporary Alexander Wang at Balenciaga.
