The lower priced Victoria, Victoria Beckham label is reportedly influenced by California street style, with the designer stating, “I often get asked how living in LA has influenced my aesthetic and this season Californian street style has been a key inspiration.”

The chic line was visibly lighter and more relaxed than Beckham’s signature collection, which she’d shown at NYFW just 48 hours before.
"When Victoria first started, the models more or less reflected her style, but to progress, a designer has to make their vision more universal,” reported the NY Times.
Beckham confessed she’d listened closely to her loyal customers when designing the RTW line, saying she was aware they wanted versatility, “and that means separates”.
For the new Victoria line, Beckham said she was going for a “sportier approach”, with many of the dresses deviating sharply from Beckham’s personal style.
“With their laid-back ease, these dresses represent everything I wanted to achieve with the line,” explained Beckham. “For me, that sense of nonchalance embraces the new fresh attitude to femininity I wanted to convey while staying true to the essence of the label.”

Nothing new here. Mrs Beckham is a clever woman though, make no mistake. Sell jelly beans not Rolls Royces because that's where the big money is. Low margin & high turnover & in someone else's shop is even better. BTW, I have visited claifornia on many occasions & it's lovely :-}

ReplyWhere is claifornia???? Did you mean california!
Reply"Grab a discount Victoria Beckham"? No thanks, the original is a cheap slag already, I'd hate to see what a budget version of her would be like.
