
Peeling apart layers of personality. The juxtaposition between the strong, confident façade people project versus an unexpectedly soft and fragile interior.
I have layered the textures more heavily in this collection and focused on working back soft fabrications against harder ones. The prints are graphic and three dimensional, capturing lots of emotion.
In your opinion, what are some of the big trends we can expect to see on the catwalk at MBFWA?
It’s really hard to predict as each designer has their own thing going on, however I hope to see lots of colour.
What’s your favourite fashion week memory?One of them would be seeing my old teacher from East Sydney Tafe backstage after my show in 2008.
What are you most looking forward to at fashion week this year?I love working with my great team, they make it so much fun.
What will you be doing after fashion week wraps?I’ll need a dance! You’ll find me anywhere there is 50s rockabilly music.
