Sarah Jessica Parker Warns About The Dangers Of Wearing High Heels

Sex and the City actress Sarah Jessica Parker has come forward warning about the dangers of wearing high heels.

Despite appearing at a recent Stella McCartney event sporting 5-inch heels, the actress acknowledged that her Manolo Blahnik addiction has taken its toll, with new photos surfacing of unsightly veins on Parker's feet.

"I've basically just destroyed my feet," said Parker. "So they feel nothing. I have no feeling in my feet."

According to USA Today, Parker's affliction is nothing out of the ordinary for the average high heel wearer.

"Long-term use of stilettos and other forms of offending footwear can lead to a myriad of health concerns," said a leading podiatrist on the program.

As a result of her continued penchant for high heels, Parker admits she now finds running in high heels "very natural" and has admitted that she struggled when wearing lower shoes for her new movie I Don't Know How She Does It.

"It was very hard, despite them being the first sensible heel height I've worn in years. Afterwards my foot really hurt and I said to Matthew (Broderick), 'I think the chickens have come home to roost - I think my foot is finally saying "I surrender!"'

In other news, Parker said recently that she thought the upcoming Sex and the City prequel, which chronicles the early life of Carrie Bradshaw, was "exciting and lovely".

"I'm always very touched to see how Carrie affected people and she's someone who is interesting and continues to be compelling."
Sarah Jessica Parker is set to visit Australia for Oaks Day.
