Yahoo Lifestyle Diane Von Furstenberg: 'You Don't Have To Be A Bitch To Get Ahead'

If Karl Lagerfeld is the (slightly kooky) Uncle of the fashion world, then Diane Von Furstenberg is certainly the adorable Aunt.
The fashion designer is known for her good advice (remember the pep talk she gave Whitney Port in The City?) and her latest musing is one to remember.
Von Furstenberg invited a small group of media to visit her office earlier this week prior to the launch of her new reality TV show, House of Diane, to explain its crucial difference in messaging to the rest of the TV shows out there.
"Honestly one of the things that I deplore about some of the shows on television is that they objectify the woman and they make you say, if you’re a bitch, you win," explained Von Furstenberg. "And that was a very important point, that you don’t have to be a bitch to win."
Considering the design mogul owns and runs a fashion empire, it’s advice worth taking to heart, especially when you consider the notorious reputation of the industry.
Von Furstenberg's show launches on the E! channel on November 2.
