What are you most looking forward to on your trip for Australian fashion week?
It’s my first time in Australia – so I’m really excited! I can’t wait to take in the sights and sounds of Sydney, discover independent boutiques, and explore some Harbour beaches – particularly Camp Cove and Nielsen Park. I’m a Cali girl, so I anticipate Sydney being really close to my heart. I’m also really looking forward to meeting some of our amazing clients. Most of the women have shopped with us since the very beginning. What I’m most looking forward to is seeing Australian brands showcase their collections on their home turf during Fashion Week.

When viewing a fashion show, which elements do you focus on in order to assess the brand’s commerciality?
I look to see whether a brand expresses something new and authentic. I focus on the development of a brand’s identity and whether its story has evolved. If I want to pull a piece straight from the runway – it’s usually a good sign!

How would you describe Australian street style?
I’d describe Sydney’s street style as being similar to that seen in LA and New York – I’m sure this is down to the climate! Women in Sydney love bright colors and designer brands, whereas Melbourne’s street style is more in line with what you’d see in London – a contemporary mix.

How did you get your job at Net-a-Porter?
I learned of a role available at NET-A-PORTER and a mutual friend introduced me to someone who was working there already – I’ve been here for five and a half years now and have never looked back!

How would you describe your personal style?
I like understated, effortless pieces that I can team up with statement accessories – an easy way for me to go from day to night. Equipment blouses are my go-to, they look great worn with J Brand denim boyfriend jeans and a pair of Aquazzura’s bright suede cut out sandals.

Favourite item in your wardrobe at the moment and why?
A midi skirt by Marni. I have so many sweaters and blouses – and this skirt is the perfect accompaniment.

Which fashion week essentials would we find in your handbag?
My oversized Maison Martin Margiela tote is vital for holding my iPhone, show tickets, and all my other daily essentials. I often carry flats for when I’m dashing from one show to the next, and Givenchy’s Ecru Shark-Lock sandals are my current favorites. I always pack a lightweight scarf in my bag or style it into my look – I have lots of Chan Luu’s simple designs and Athena Procopiou for fun, statement styles.

What are your top tips for shopping online?
I obviously do the majority of my shopping on NET-A-PORTER.com. My top tip is to use the Wish List function – don’t view hesitancy as a bad thing when it comes to fashion. Pop it in your Wish List as it may grow on you – something made you consider it, you just may need time to figure out how you’ll style it into your current wardrobe.

What’s your Net-A-Porter career highlight?
I feel so privileged to see the seasonal evolution of the most beautiful designer brands in the world.
