Titled Gucci Eyeweb, the collection features two styles available in a number of different colour combinations.
To celebrate the launch, the Italian brand has created a mini website of the same name that invites users to interact and play with the collection.
At www.guccieyeweb.com visitors can view 3D images of the sunglasses which rotate and reflect images in the lenses. Users can also upload their own pictures which flow over the 3D eyewear lenses like a real-life reflection.
"I designed these sunglasses and the accompanying social networking site with today's digital generation in mind," explains Giannini.
"I hope that they will both enjoy wearing them and 'reflecting and connecting' their own creativity with their friends around the world."
Gucci Eyeweb frames are priced at $340 and will be available from December.
