Of the 2,500 women surveyed by US Fitness Magazine, over half opted for "the body of their dreams" instead of sex, while the other 49% said they would rather have great sex and be 15 kilograms overweight.
The results also provided insight into the dieting habits of women, with 43% admitting to regularly skipping meals in an effort to shed kilograms quickly.
Alarmingly, 27% confessed that they had been on so many diets they'd lost count of how many they had tried, while a fifth said they had to exercise for two hours a day in order to keep their weight under control.
The survey also found that a quarter of women had removed photographs from Facebook because they thought they looked too fat in them.
According to marie claire's 2009 "What Women Want" survey, as many as nine in 10 women are unhappy with their bodies.
What are your thoughts? Would you give up sex for a year if it meant you could be your ideal weight?

Read the article properly, people! It doesn't suggest that there actually IS a correlation btwn sex & weight loss. It's a hypothetical question, to gauge how badly women want to be thin - i.e. if they value it even over and above something loke sex.

ReplyWhat does giving up sex has to do with being skinny. Can you not think of anything better? Having sex burns a lot of calories and feels good. Women should be less lazy and cook healthy meals from scratch instead of take aways and cakes. AND STOP DRINKING ALCOHOL. Crazy !
ReplyPlease!!! I was celibate for 5 years and I ballooned to 200 pounds!!! THAT THEORY IS INCORRECT!!! I think is the other way around! for one you're conscious of your body so that motivates you to get and stay in shape, and Sex gives you a glow and motivation to live life to the fullest, but when you're celibate, you feel like life is passing you by and you're just a wallflower, I DISAGREE w/ that study :(
