
Gwyneth Paltrow: “No more babies”
Registries of Birth, Deaths and Marriages around the country will be breathing a sigh of relief with the news that Gwyneth Paltrow has announced herbaby making days are over. The 39-year-old actress, who is mother to daughter Apple, 8, and son Moses, 6, said: “I don’t know if I can go back to diapers and things like that. I’m so past that, I think I may have missed the window.”
Paltrow and her husband, rocker Chris Martin – who are the poster boy and girl for parents who want to buck tradition and give their children more unusual monikers – allegedly decided to name their daughter Apple because the fruit is sweet and wholesome.
Miss Australia comes third Miss World pageant
The Olympics may be over for another four years, but Australia is still battling it out for honours on the world stage, taking bronze in the Miss World 2012 contest.Sydney-born Jessica Kahawaty came third (second runner-up), just behind first runner-up Sophie Moulds from Wales and eventual winner Yu Wenxia from China.
The 23-year-old Lebanese-Australian beauty is in the final year of her law degree. A total of 116 contestants - the highest ever number to take part – competed for the coveted tile of Miss World, which was held in Inner Mongolian city of Ordos, China, over the weekend.
