Nicole Farhi

What was the buzz like backstage?

The show was held at the Opera House. It's the most beautiful heritage building with high ceilings and amazing architecture. We were all worried that it would be delayed because the BAFTAs (British Academy of Film and Television Awards) were held there the night before, but the whole thing ran like clock work.

It was one of the most tightly run and organized shows I have ever worked on. The producer said it was the easiest they've ever done - it ran so smoothly, that there's no dirt to dish out on this one!

How would you describe the hair?

The clothes emphasized wearable fashion with quality fabrics, so the hair was created with that in mind. It was beautiful, understated, but slightly tweaked at the ends.

This understated look seems to be a common theme London Fashion Week this year.

Get the look:
1. Using minimal product, blow-dry your hair smooth, leave your hair in its natural centre part.
2. Using your hands, loosely scrape your strands back to the nape of your neck, with your hair covering your ears. Secure your low ponytail with leather strips.

3. For added shine, rub a small amount of Pantene Pro-V Daily Moisture Renewal Leave-In Hair Moisturiser between your finger tips and gently loosen your pony tails.

Jaeger London

What was the buzz like backstage?

It was a massive production. There were 40 hairdressers and make-up artists, plus 65 staff from Jaeger, all crammed into a corner. It was out of control! We had two hairdressers to one chair, but it's so cold here at the moment, that its best to keep moving!

How would you describe the hair?

The look was soft and unstructured to counteract the stiff sharp tailoring. We were briefed to tuck the models hair into the back of their jackets to look as though they'd just thrown them on.

The look was so simple, but together with the clothes and make-up, the overall effect was very powerful.

Get the look:
1. Starting from the back, blow-dry small sections with a round bristle brush so that it is completely straight
2. Using your fingers, create lift at the roots.

3. Finally, tuck your hair into your jacket and run your fingers through to add volume and texture.
