Try fun, bright washes of colour for day, and dark, moodly plum tones for evening drama. Keep things modern by limiting your palette to only one purple tone at a time: wear it with neutral hues of pink or peach, or, for a daring take, Bertaud suggests pairing amethyst eyeshadow with a matt tomato-red lipstick. If you have deep-set eyes, soft, sheer colours won't be as noticeable on you. Make your eyes "pop" with iridescnet eyeliner, or experiment with more intensely pigmented eyeshadow.
