We sit down with them to discover more about their design philosophy, the new fragrance and the inspiration behind it.

What is your brand's philosophy?
"Our style harks back to the glamorous Hollywood of the forties. We believe in glamour - in every aspect of a woman's life but we like to keep things simple. It's great if you can spend hours getting ready, but a woman should also be able to bring a dress to work and change there for an evening out."

What women do you appeal to with your range?
"Our customer is truly ageless. She's modern, she's confident, and she's sophisticated."

How does the 'Badgley Mischka woman' translate into a fragrance?
"We wanted our fragrance to be timeless yet with a modern edge - a New Classic. It needed to be romantic and glamorous, like you are living in a wonderful movie."

What are the key notes and how did you select them? What inspired you?
"Our first fragrance was inspired by the look and feel of 1940's Hollywood glamour. It has a vintage elegance with a bit of a modern twist. The top notes focus on romantic fruits - peach, wild berries and cassis. The heart is an enchanting bouquet of white osmanthus, peony and jasmine. The drydown is where the sensuality comes in, with amber, musk and patchouli."

What was the inspiration behind the beautiful bottle?
"The bottle was inspired by a vintage piece of barware that is part of our crystal collection. We wanted it to have the look and feel of an old decanter."
