Victoria's Secret Models Reveal Their Pre-Show Beauty Secrets

With only days to go until the annual Victoria's Secret show, models including Candice Swanepoel, Miranda Kerr and Erin Heatherton are reportedly in training for the big day, with Swanepoel, who is set to open this year's show, telling Allure Magazine she "goes into lockdown" before the show.

Miranda Kerr To Wear Bombshell Bra At Victoria's Secret Show

"It's very important that I take three days off before the show," she said. "Especially for my hair. Our hair is worked on so much and it gets really brittle, so I give it a little rest. I try to do as much as I can before the show because my hair is blonde and coloured. I use Oribe treatments—I'll put in his leave-in conditioner and let it sit for an hour."

The 23-year old beauty said she also steers clear of make-up in the week before the show in an effort to give her skin a break. "We have to wear so much make-up," she explained.

Meanwhile fellow Victoria's Secret Angel Erin Heatherton said she was "definitely drinking more water" and putting oil on her face to keep her skin hydrated.

"I use Rodin Luxury Face Oil at night, and it keeps my skin hydrated and refreshed for the day - not tired from all the makeup. And I basically make sure that I'm well rested - that's the most important thing!"

Supermodel Miranda Kerr, who will wear the $2.5 million Bombshell Bra in the upcoming parade, also confessed to a pre-show routine, saying, "I've been doing yoga every day for the past six months. But I've been doing more squats because you gotta get that booty up - you really can't hide anything when you're up there on that runway - you've got cameras coming at you from every angle."

Swanepoel, who came under fire earlier this year for being too thin, admits she "works out like a maniac" pre-show.

"Tomorrow I'll box in the morning and then I'll do Pilates at night," the model said. "I also do a lot with resistance bands."

Swanepoel said she was excited to wear her opening outfit, which she described as amazing. "It's like kind of a purple corset—all feathers—with feathered wings. You can see the time that went into making it."
