Step 1 Start by towelling as much moisture from your freshly washed hair as possible. Then apply a volumising product to your roots and blast with your hairdryer until your hair is 90 per cent dry.

Step 2 Use a large, round-barrelled brush to lift sections of your hair at the roots to add volume, then take hot irons and run them through your strands from the mid-lengths to ends. This allows you to achieve volume and movement, plus smoothness.

Step 3 Finishing products are the key to adding shine, texture and hold. The golden rule for adding gloss is this: apply one drop to your hands and rub them together, then work the product through your lengths first before you touch the top of your head. The idea is not only to control frizz, but also to create an even gloss and shine throughout your style.
