FIRST CREATE A FLAWLESS BASE

Starting at your nose, lightly apply a stick foundation with a sponge or foundation brush, and gradually work outwards over your face. Add a little extra where needed to cover blemishes, dark under-eye circles and other imperfections.
  1. Using a large powder brush, lightly sweep a small amount of bronzing powder over the apples of your cheeks.
  2. Apply a black eyeliner along your upper lash line. Don't draw all the way into the inner corner of your eyes, as this tends to make them appear smaller.
  3. Using an eyeshadow brush, apply the lightest colour from your eyeshadow palette over your entire lid. Then, pat on a slightly darker tone from the lash line to the socket to create depth. Using the same darker shade, lightly run the brush across your lower lash line for soft definition.
  4. Curl your lashes and apply one or two coats of black mascara.

THEN VARY YOUR LOOK

Look 1: Intensify your eyes by applying the darkest shade in your eyeshadow palette along your upper and lower lash lines and the outer half of the crease of your eye socket. Finish with a clear lip gloss and one or two extra coats of mascara.

Look 2: The drama of this look means you won't need to do more than simply apply a bold red lipstick. To make your lip colour last longer, always blot your lips with tissue after the first application and then reapply.

Look 3: Your complexion is the focus of this make-up style, so apply a little more bronzer where the sun would naturally kiss your face - at the temples, across the bridge of your nose and cheeks. To finish, apply a clear lip gloss.
