What is more important, talent or drive?
Drive. Without drive and determination, talent is of no value. You can have all the talent in the world but if you lack drive, unfortunately your talent is wasted. The best place to be is to acknowledge your talent and have the drive to put it into practice.

On a scale of one to ten, how significant a role does luck play when it comes to success?
Three. Luck is not a gift - it is a combination of vision, passion, determination and hard work. You can attract luck into your life by inundating your mind with positive thoughts. The moment you stop being positive luck flies away in search of a new positive environment to thrive in.

Which is more critical, the idea or the execution?
Execution. Almost everyone in the world has a great idea, however, what separates achievers from the rest is their ability to take action and turn their idea into reality

Is it better to be passionate or objective?
Objective. Passion stems from defining your purpose in life.

What is most and least important? Please rank your priorities.

  1. Confidence
    Drive
    Relationship skills
    Talent
    Organisational skills.

What one trait has helped you most in business?
My "can do" attitude helps me find the greatest gift in the heart of every negative situation I am faced with in business.

What is the one trait that has hindered you most in business?
Ignoring the little voice in the back of my head. I call this "the message from your soul" - it should never be ignored and the consequences are detrimental.

What is the hardest lesson you've learned and how did you learn it?
Knowing yourself, understand your great qualities and linking your success to these qualities you naturally posses. For me it wasn't until I experienced being at the brinks of bankruptcy at the hands of someone else that I truly realized my own abilities and significant qualities as a business leader.

What is the one piece of advice you would offer other women in business?
Do not neglect your primary role as "women" being mothers and nurturers. One of my greatest achievements in life is having my three beautiful daughters and watching them grow and become extraordinary women with dream and aspirations of their own.

What are the biggest mistakes you see women making in business?
Making mistakes in business has nothing to do with gender. Being a successful business person, you as the leader of the organisation must have a clear and a precise vision and an ability to lead your team towards achieving your vision without compromising your values.
