What is more important, talent or drive?
Drive. I have known many talented people who may have good ideas, but without the drive, they have difficulty in putting their ideas into practice.

On a scale of one to ten, how significant a role does luck play when it comes to success?
Six. Luck in timing is a factor and certainly plays a role, but is a really small consideration. Good timing can be achieved by careful planning and analysing.

Which is more critical, the idea or the execution?
Execution. I feel that ideas are very important, but without drive they will remain just an idea.

Is it better to be passionate or objective?
Both are very important in different areas. Passion really depends on the type of business you are concerned with, whereas you require more objective analysis in other types of organisations.

What is most and least important? Please rank your priorities.

  1. Drive
    Talent
    Organisational skills
    Relationship skills
    Confidence

What one trait has helped you most in business?
Determination, which helped me to start a business and to overcome difficulties and obstacles.

What is the one trait that has hindered you most in business?
I think being shy is something that has been a problem to me, however, I am not sure that it has actually hindered me.

What is the one piece of advice you would offer other women in business?
I believe it would be good to work hands-on in the business you are planning to enter.

What are the biggest mistakes you see women making in business?
I can't think of any examples. Women are seen as more cautious and responsible and therefore are the best financial risks for banks.
