The Charlie’s Angels star, who turns 40 later this month, has one of the most enviable bodies in the business so it was only a matter of time before she wrote a book.

The actress has secured a deal with Harper Collins to write a health and well-being guide that will include her diet and fitness tips.

The book's publishers, Harper Collins, say the Charlie's Angels star hopes to "engage and empower women" by sharing tips on looking and feeling good.

Whilst the book is set to be released next year we can pretty much guess the tone of the contents through Diaz’s past interviews.

“I'm off the fried foods. I'm very thoughtful about what I eat. If you're gonna do heavy lifting, and you want to stay small, you have to watch what you eat,” Diaz told Elle magazine.

"You have to give your body the right nutrients and really think about what's best for it."

Whilst she may be the guru on fitness and health we’re guessing the book will not include love advice after her series of failed high profile relationships including Jared Leto, Justin Timberlake and Alex Rodriguez.

'I don't call it dumped. I call it divine intervention,” she told another magazine.

Diaz is not the first to capitalize on her profile to release a lifestyle publication.

Gwyneth Paltrow developed the online weekly publication goop.com “…to share all of life's positives. From creating a delicious recipe to finding a perfect dress for spring, Gwyneth began curating the best of lifestyle to help her readers save time, simplify and feel inspired,” the website says.

And our own Miranda Kerr released the book “Treasure Yourself: Power Thoughts for My Generation” which contains100 affirmations from some of the world's most inspirational authors including Louise L. Hay, Wayne W. Dyer and Deepak Chopra.

We can only hope Diaz’s book won’t be as obtuse as Jessica’s Simpson’s “I Do: Achieving Your Dream Wedding”:

“Setting the date for your wedding can seem, at first, to be the simplest thing in the world. But the truth is, setting the date can be as complex as an algebraic equation.”

Wise words, Jess.
