Real food such as nuts, seeds and avocado are good sources of healthy fats. Some fats are essential to the human body meaning we have to ingest them – our body cannot make them ourselves.
These include the fats from fish, flaxseeds, walnuts, pecans (omega 3) and evening primrose oil (omega 6). A part of the immune system necessary to prevent tumor formation is stimulated by saturated fat (coconut is a good source) so a variety of sources of fat in the diet are important.
