Soy beans

Some researchers claim that soy beans contain high levels of natural toxins, or antinutrients, which inhibit the digestion of protein and minerals. Other research shows that soy is high in aluminium, an element toxic to the kidneys. While Asian diets are historically rich in soy products, these are generally fermented, which some say removes the toxins.

High levels of aluminium appear to be linked to Alzheimer's (even early stages); as a aged care nurse in a multicultural country, I haven't noticed a prevalence in endemic Alzheimer dementia ( referring to Asians............ who consume soy beans in all forms!)
